As with all Arkansas State Parks, there is no cost to visit the Louisiana Purchase State Park. Please note that the park is currently closed for construction. We are due to open in the coming weeks. Please call 870-572-2352 or check Arkansas State Parks website for updates. Once open, the hours are 7 days a week, from 6:00am to 9:00pm.
Is this location safe/is a park ranger usually on site?

It seemed safe to me. But it is true the office closes and I have no idea if there was a ranger on site after hours. You may need to call and ask them that question.
