The Grapevine Vintage Railroad (GVRR) is a family-friendly attraction in Grapevine, Texas upon which passengers can travel on authentic 1920's-era Victorian train coaches along the historic Cotton Belt Route. The train is in operation 10 months a year, taking a break in January and February for annual train inspections and track maintenance. Between March and June, the train runs every Saturday and Sunday. Then in June, July and August the train runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In August, September and October the train resumes a Saturday and Sunday schedule. Then in November and December the train transforms into the North Pole Express, running most weekends as part of the Christmas Capital of Texas festivities.

Is this handicapped accessible for someone in a wheelchair?

There are ramps for lines but not to get up onto the train that I could see. But I did see a wheelchair accessible sign at the front of the train car. So, maybe.

Thank you for your question! The First Class coaches include air conditioning and Victorian-style, upholstered seating. Touring class coaches provide open-air travel with vintage wooden-backed, bench-style seating. Although there are ceiling fans, the touring coaches are not air conditioned. During the winter months, these coaches are enclosed with non-opening glass windows that are removed in the spring. All coaches are heated during the winter months.

the train ride to the stockyards are on Fri, Sat and Sun and leaves at 1pm. First class tickets are $28 and touring class is $20. Tickets can be bought online or at the station.
