That your baby Taylor has not cracked is not evidence of prior damage to the Martin. Taylor bakes all its tops, which reduces the amount of shrinkage in low humidity. Martin does not. Also, a smaller guitar top is less likely to crack than a bigger one. And last, there are differences in how different pieces of the same wood behave.

I’d first see if the crack was open by applying naphtha to outside and see if it wicks in. If it does then it needs repair. Hot hide glue is my first choice and CA is my second choice for glue.
