2020年10月10日 · +1 for RL-33 - it works very well for me in .338 Lapua with the 285 gr ELD-M and Lehigh Defense 257 gr ELR. I've throated my barrel at ~0.400" freebore so the shank-boat tail junction is above the shoulder, so full power loads with moly-coated bullets are not compressed.

One guy here is building a .284 win. and I'm either doing a 7 short mag or the .284. The .284 Win. you will get more barrel life out of than the mag and also the 6.5x284. I've got a .338 Lapua on my shop test rifle and it's a hammer.

2021年2月11日 · For a long range target rifle the 338 Edge is hard to beat for a standard magnum action. You can get long magazine boxes for both Rem 700 and Win 70 actions from Wyatts Outdoors. If you are not stuck on using a factory action, and you shouldn't be nowadays, the 338 Lapua IMP is excellent.

I can say that the Action you choose is an important part of the process. - If your looking at a Repeater then I'll recommend a BAT Model HR which can adapt to the long Watts box magazine. @Alex Wheeler has done several larger calibers on the model HR by BAT.

2015年1月28日 · Same barrel make ,same length. Unless your barrels are longer than 27" tha Lapua has only aprx 200 fps gain over the old 338 win . Virtually the same as a 338 RUMACK. Because of the longer case length of the Lapua and Rumack the barrel length of the shorter 338 win case had 1"+ of actual bullet travel , which could account for the small vel diff.

2018年1月10日 · 300nm brass can only give me 5-7 firing..been (torture) testing a necked down 423 dakota lapua brass to 300nm.i load them sometimes till i get ejector marks or flat primer...15-17x so far still tight pocket...im pretty confident that 300nm lapua brass going to be strong
