36th Infantry Division in World War II Research CD Set
The 36th Infantry Division landed in North Africa 13 April, 1943 and trained at Arzew and Rabat. It was Assigned to the VI Corps, Seventh Army, but attached to SOS, NATOUSA, for supply.
On 1 February 1942, the division was redesignated the 36th Infantry Division and reorganized as a “triangular division” with only three infantry regiments, the 141st, the 142d and the 143d Infantry Regiments.
