2017年12月31日 · Just received a new barrel for my Blaser R8 in 6.5 Weatherby RPM. For those who already have experience with this round, which factory ammo do you like better -- the 127 Barnes or the 140 Hornady, especially in terms of accuracy? Thanks.

2019年9月24日 · The 6.5 RPM provides 125fps more than a .264WM can with 140g AccuBond bullets. This according to Weatherby and Nosler ammo data. Weatherby claims 3225fps with a 127g Barnes bullet, which beats my 6.5-06AI with 130g Swift Scirocco II bullet by a whopping 64fps. It also beats Hodgdon's fastest .264WM/129g load by 54fps. (Yawn)

2022年4月16日 · There is a reason you can't find load data for H4831 in the 6.5 RPM. It's the same reason you can't find load data for FFF black powder in the 6.5 RPM. It is ill suited to the task. Both Retumbo and H1000 are starting to show up on shelves. They are suitable choices for the 6.5 RPM. The best I've found is Alliant Reloader 25.

2024年10月18日 · If making a custom 6.5 RPM, work on the bullet selection first then create your throat and freebore before picking a reamer if necessary. Or thr standard SAAMI reamer can be used with a throating reamer. Ask your gunsmith. I'm using the Hornady 135 gr. A-Tips for deer and elk but I'm trying out the 153 gr. A-Tip on elk also.
