Diablo vs Baal vs Mephisto - Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Baal has 493701 HP. Diablo has 113812 HP. Mephisto has 94320 HP. So, Baal has over 4 times more HP as his brothers. I don't think that Diablo's Lightning is enoght to break that gap. Fun fact: Nightmare Baal has more HP than Hell Diablo.

Diablo's lair never changes so on higher difficulties it is usually faster to run Diablo (although on Hell Baal actually drops better than Diablo, as do his minions). A Cold Sorc with an Infinity runeword Holy Freeze Merc makes the best MF runner of Meph, Diablo, and Baal.

After beating Baal noting really changes if you make another Normal game. All quests will still be completed, all waypoints you have activated are still available, all bosses are alive again. The game only resets if you chose to make a Nightmare game.

Baal runs and Chaos Sanctuary are your best bet for a while, but it gets to a point where you won't get much if any EXP from anything other than I think Baal and Diablo themselves. I forget the exact details of it, but that's like lvl 98-99 IIRC. Nihalathak also gives XP til then. Don't know if it's worth the time purely for leveling though.

The low lvl char can get a high lvl to go into baal throne room to kill baal multiply times, but w/o u they wont complete the q. 2) Why do they want your Baal quest? They want it so they can get their lvl 1 char into the next difficulty. If u havent realized it yet, u need to be a certain lvl inorder to enter baal throne room and worldstone.
