Best system with 2 pairs of speakers I ever had were JL M series 8s and 7s with a JL amp. I believe 600watts but not positive. Wet sounds makes a really cool BT unit that’s about the size of a 1/2 dollar coin. Works great. JL may have one too. If you have Lowrance or Simrad the sonic hub is cool but I’d did malfunction a few times on me.

I will agree with what you are saying to a point. I was focusing on the op's budget concerns. This might be a more budget friendly approach. The 7.7 are at his hip in the middle of the boat. With the sub right there I think the revo6 will perform well. The JL 12 is a beast. They should call it a 14 or 13.5. I love them. Run 4 on a boat.

had a similar issue with my mrd-60. sent it back to polyplanar and of course it was out of warranty. they replaced the unit with an upgraded mrd-60 (built in audio inputs) for $110. not a bad deal considering the module to add an mp3 player to the older models is around $40. works awesome and is the BEST sounding and most weather resistant marine stereo i have owned!

My boat came with a Sony Marine stereo with the flip down/detachable face plate. It was not working very good (did work for a long time) and was intermitant. I replaced it with the same thing only a newer model. Now it is doing the same thing again. I live in the Pacific Northwest and the stereo is under cover of the roof in a fiberglass seat box.

2006年5月12日 · Absolutely. The amount of power your stereo is using will be entirely variable based on how loud you have it turned up. For a simple head unit type setup, I agree with the others in that a 10a fuse is probably fine. If you're really curious, put an ammeter on it, or do it the cheap way - start with a 5a fuse and see when it blows.
