OoT you can jump....just only backflip. you jump forward as well there just isn't a button for it. even in link to the past you jump in certain places by walking off the edge.

In addition to all the other times people have mentioned Link being able to jump, in Skyward Sword you can hold Z and forward and press A to do a little hop.

Keep holding down B. The Stasis timer will run out soon. Keep holding down B the entire time, and Link should be stuck in a running position on the box.
