How it works - Core Temp
The formula for the Athlon 64 series, early Opterons and Semprons (K8 architecture) is: 'Core Temp = Value - 49'. For the newer generation of AMD processors like Phenom, Phenom II, newer Athlons, Semprons and Opterons (K10 architecture and up), and their derivatives, there is a different formula: 'CPU Temp * = Value / 8'.

- Fix: CPU temperature not displayed in Core Temp window on Phenom CPUs (0.98 and 0.98.1). - Fix: CPU load would sometimes display -1% load. - Fix: AMD K8 would sometimes spike to 206C, the false reading is now ignored. - Fix: AMD K8 sometimes constantly reads -49C. - Fix: Core Temp does not show up automatically on G15 LCD with 2.02 driver.

2003年2月18日 · Core Temp doesn't display VID for my processor. Voltage ID (VID) is not supported on any of Intel's "Core iX" series of processors predating the Sandy Bridge architecture. Core Temp reports incorrect vcore in the VID field. VID is not the same as VCore. VCore is the actual voltage the processor is being fed by the motherboard.

2013年1月20日 · Using the room ambient temp to try to determine a CPU/APU temp offset is not accurate as CPU/APU idle temps vary considerably based on idle load/CPU/APU voltage/the heatsink used, ambient room temp, etc. Selecting: "Show Delta to Tjunction Max" would NOT change the CPU/APU temp readout.
