2020年2月10日 · I drove it in, with the check engine light on and rough idle as my concerns. The only codes/faults they listed on the invoice were 002DE3 and 0036D4. I do not trust that the shaft needed to be replaced, as the shop provided the replaced/bad parts and there are no springs, like in your link's pictures, just the eccentric shaft.

2018年1月27日 · Since the Eccentric Shaft controls the valve lift (instead of a throttle butterfly in the intake) it would make NO sense to have Pedal Module plausibility check for safety purposes, but NOT the same plausibility check as to position of the Eccentric Shaft (as controlled by the DME via the VVT Actuator Motor).

The motor may be replaced prematurely based on the clicking sound, however the shaft could be the problem by increasing the resistance to the motor, thereby causing the clicking sound.

2015年8月4日 · I knew then that it's likely due to the Eccentric Shaft Sensor since they commonly fail (Thanks again BMW) so I popped the plug out a few minutes ago and sure enough, there's a little oil in there, very little, but from what I've read that's bad enough. Here's my question, has anyone tried the Eccentric Shaft Sensor replacement kit from ECS tuning?

Some of my research indicates that it will reposition itself via the valvtronic sensor, but I'm not really sure about that. Is there anything I should do to reposition the shaft?

During the procedure, the shop noticed a tooth missing on the half moon gear on the eccentric shaft, where the Valvetronic worm gear attaches to. But they do not believe it will cause me problems, so they finished the job.

The Valvetronic motor is making clicking sounds when I unlock the car, open the door, etc. When I could not perform ISTA Valvetronic run-in / learning I decided to replace the Valvetronic motor / Actuator. My eccentric shaft has some wear on the gear (see pic) and I'm wondering how to determine if it should be replaced.
