(Or HDMI 2.0 cables or any other number, HDMI cables don't have numbers) HDMI 2.1 is a hardware standard for TV's, AVR's etc. The cable you'd be looking for is an Ultra High-Speed Certified Cable, but they only exist at 3M just now AFAIK and they cost a fortune.

Carefully read the product descriptions and marketing. It has to state, "Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable" to meet the HDMI.org marketing guidelines for HDMI 2.1.

The only way to test is to use the cable with hdmi 2.1 compliant devices end to end and see if the features work, e.g. current gen console to hdmi 2.1 tv.
