The hormones involved are thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) secreted by the hypothalamus, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) released by the anterior pituitary, and T3 and T4 produced by the thyroid gland.
Those factors are reviewed in this chapter and consist principally of thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) and the feedback effects of circulating thyroid hormones at the hypothalamic and pituitary levels.
