2018年3月15日 · If it always cycles the flapper probably needs replacing. The toilet cycle has nothing to do with the wax ring , the smell may indicate a leaking wax ring. I prefer the wax rings with a foam core. If the flooring is bad it will need to be repaired, If it is a toilet base that is sitting on uneven tile I find it best to bed the toilet in grout.

So then I was like eh float assemblies are like 15 bucks let me change that too, changed that, same issue. Finally, took the extra 5 minutes and did the flapper seat and the seal between the tank and the bowl, no dice.

You might be able to slight adjust the flapper by just running your thumb around the part that seats or you might need to replace it (it's cheap and easy).

2018年1月9日 · Thanks all! So, the water is definitely running into the bowl. 100% sure, because it's running quite a bit and I can see it and hear it flowing into the bowl. Not running onto the floor at all. I did use a toothbrush and clean all around the bolt holes, but I actually didn't clean around the flush valve, so I will try that.
