Veiled Chameleon
The veiled chameleon is a large species with an average adult length of 18”-24” (45-70cm). They are well known for their prominent casque (crest on top of the head), which is believed by some to help channel rainwater toward their mouth for drinking.

2013年12月22日 · For an adult male Veiled, there are some monsters out there - maybe 18" to 20" long for a male and 200+ grams? Generally, the smallest recommended cage is 24" by 24" by 48" tall for any chameleon - of course if you can offer more space, that is always good.

Dusted crickets. Supplements - I use mineral and calcium supplements, I'm not at home to check the types, will update with that info.

2014年2月22日 · I don't think I've ever seen a female veiled with so much orange If you go to a petsmart or reptile store you should be able to find a heat lamp with a dimmer switch on it. I love these, because no matter how high the wattage is in the bulb, you can lower it to the exact output you want. Doing this, I made two basking spots for my male veiled.

2007年10月9日 · Your veiled looks a lot like mine did at that age. It is hard to tell from those photos but that would be my guess. Like others were saying, they all grow at a different rate and it depends on the amount being fed.

2012年10月20日 · The vet I work with knows a lot about reptiles in general and has had a veiled chameleon himself so we have covered all of the basics as far as husbandry and feeding. We took an x-ray and he has multiple pathologic fractures of his long bones so I made little splints for his arms and legs out of a reusable plastic straw.
