2021年10月5日 · For good chess pieces, I would also look at offerings by Staunton Castle and The Chess Empire as well. Each sells direct to the consumer. Both companies make high quality chess pieces and used to wholesale - and may still do so - to retail vendors such as House of Staunton. For example, Russ Bell mentioned in post #2 the HOS Collector II Series.

2018年1月2日 · The Chess Store does have some nice sets. I like to speak with someone directly. Raphael and Paul at The Chess House are Chess players themselves and their advice is good because of that. Robin usually answers at Wholesale Chess and she is nice. When I call at The Chess Store they seem young but are also nice.

I have a nice 'Staunton' design chess set called a 'Najdorf' set which is felted, double weighted and has black pieces made from sheeshamwood, with an 'Executive' board made from sycamore with a walnut border. There's nothing quite like 'pushing wood' on a nice chess board.
