Internal Medicine Residency Program

Internal medicine is certainly a lot of rounding and writing detailed notes, but it is a great field overall; I have several family members who have done a residency in it. As a surgeon, I appreciate what internal medicine doctors do to help us manage our patients before and after surgery. Obviously this is just a joke…I’m not really an internal medicine resident. As an orthopedic surgeon, I do interact with internal medicine doctors all the time though. I do really appreciate their help managing our patients before and after surgery. They have fixed many broken Ancef pumps (a.k.a. hearts to non-orthos) and interpreted many danger squiggles / EKGs for me over the years. Also, I would like to add that “Scrubs” is the greatest medical TV show of all time. How about a comeback season
