This recipe is a safe and tested recipe (important!) from the Ball Book of Canning (linked in my product highlight), and it’s one of my favorite ways to preserve an overabundance of peppers! Im a spice lover, so I just kinda mix everything together. Time to make some fig jam and pickles. Today’s fig jam recipe was a new one from called French Fig Jam from Jill Colonna, madaboutmacarons.com, where she used organic orange juice and skin a lot less sugar. I cooked it a little longer than she did, more like an hour, and I used a water bath canning process. I also made my annual sweet and spicy pickles and changed that recipe a little.
