First Turnip harvest of the season. These are quite early - started from seed on March 8. Turnips are cool season vegetables: 🌱I start mine from seed, late summer in seedtrays, plant out early autumn. Or Start from seed late winter and plant out early spring. 🌱They do need sun in order to grow into a nice size bulb. If too crowded - not given enough space, or not enough sunlight, you'll end up with lots of lush green leaves and small bulbs. I harvested these this morning for tonight's dinner.
