It’s sea turtle nesting season! Here are some super important things to know! Sea turtles need a clear path to their nesting grounds, it’s imperative that they are clean, flat & dark at this time. This means packing up everything you brought when you leave for the day, your trash, beach toys, shoes, everything. Knock down sand castles and fill up any holes you’ve dug. 🐢🥚Sea Turtle nesting season is now over in Florida. After storms the hatched nests are often disturbed from eroding sand, so sometimes I will come across empty egg shells on my cleanups! It’s amazing to think that is take a baby sea turtle about 60 days to develop into a fully grown hatchling, and even more amazing that this paper think shell provides all the nutrients and protection it needs to survive the gestation period!
