I first learned the full yogi squat from Sri Vatsa Ramaswami who learned it from Krishnamacharya.Krishnamacharya would teach it in the Mountain Pose (Tadasana) series.It’s not a flashy or impressive pose but The full yogi squat is a great longevity stretch for the lower body but including ankles, knees and hips.Try and do it each morning and remember if you don’t use it you lose it. Start in a yogi squat and bind one knee Rise to stand Flip the arm around the knee to go under the thigh Kick it out for bird of paradise Step onto that lifted leg and float the back leg As I grow in my practice binds become a little harder and that’s ok.
